The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) is a pan-African not-for-profit organisation based in Nairobi that aims to increase the capacity of African academic institutions and researchers to contribute stronger evidence based research on public policy that can have a positive impact on pro-poor development policies in Africa. It was established in response to the declining capacity in political and social science research output in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) is offering an 11-day professional development course in Advanced Research Design for Policy-Oriented Research.
This training is relevant to African academics, researchers and PhD students interested in enhancing their skills in the design of research that lends itself to a multi-method approach relevant to social policy and/or governance research.
The course consists of four modules: Designing Social Inquiry; Multi-Methods Research Strategies; Critical Policy Engaged Research; and, Ethics for Social Science Research.
