The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) is a pan-African not-for-profit organisation based in Nairobi that aims to increase the capacity of African academic institutions and researchers to contribute stronger evidence based research on public policy that can have a positive impact on pro-poor development policies in Africa. It was established in response to the declining capacity in political and social science research output in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) is offering a 10-day professional development course in Advanced Research Design for Policy-Oriented Research.
Advanced Research Design (ARD) is a 10-day training which will strengthen participants’ capacity in the design of research that is policy relevant and lends itself to a multi-method approach to data collection and analysis. ARD consists of four modules: Multi-Method Research; Critical Policy Engagement, Designing Social Inquiry and Ethics in Social Science Research.
