The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) is a pan-African not-for-profit organisation based in Nairobi that aims to increase the capacity of African academic institutions and researchers to contribute stronger evidence based research on public policy that can have a positive impact on pro-poor development policies in Africa. It was established in response to the declining capacity in political and social science research output in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research( PASGR) in association with the knowledge platform on Inclusive Development(INCLUDE) and the National Institute for Legislative Studies(NILDS) with support from International Development Research Centre( IDRC), Canada and Department for International Development (DFID) recently commissioned a study that sort to examine the how and why of the constraints to employment creation in the agriculture and agri-processing sectors. The studies were conducted in Kenya, Nigeria, and Ethiopia.
The Nigerian study suggested that employment in agriculture and agri-processing has not been successful in both clusters.
