The Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) is at the forefront of fostering good governance and accountability in the Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector across Africa. Our ongoing Accountability for Water (AfW) Research and Action Programme is making significant progress in Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.
Our Mission:
The AfW Research and Action Programme, a collaborative initiative led by PASGR and partnered with Water Witness International (UK), Kenya Water and Sanitation Civil Society Network (KEWASNET), Shahidi wa Maji in Tanzania, and Water Witness in Ethiopia, is designed to enhance accountability and governance in the WASH sector. By employing innovative approaches such as action research, outreach, and policy engagement, we are committed to making a long-term impact on service delivery in the water sector. Our goal is to strengthen knowledge, policy, and practice to improve governance and accelerate the achievement of SDG 6: “Sustainable water and sanitation for all.”
Why We Need You:
To amplify our efforts, we recognize the critical role of capacity building for stakeholders and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the WASH sector. We aim to equip these groups with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective water governance and accountability. Ensuring that CSOs and other stakeholders have the right tools to meaningfully engage with duty bearers and service providers is vital for improved water service delivery.
Opportunity for Consultants:
PASGR is seeking a qualified consultant to develop and deliver comprehensive capacity-building modules on water governance and accountability. This initiative will be conducted through webinars and integrated with eLMS hosted on our existing online platform.
Consultant Responsibilities:
– Develop detailed and engaging capacity-building modules focused on water governance and accountability.
– Deliver these modules through a series of webinars tailored for WASH sector stakeholders.
– Equip stakeholders with the tools and knowledge to strengthen accountability and improve water service delivery.
How to Apply:
If you have expertise in water governance, accountability, and capacity building, we invite you to contribute to this transformative initiative. Together, we can empower stakeholders, enhance governance, and make a lasting impact on water service delivery in Africa.
For more information or to express your interest in this consultancy opportunity, please see the Request for Proposals for more details.
